Thanks to heat metering, each resident independently manages the temperature of their apartment, as they will only pay for the amount of heat they actually consume\n\n<strong>Is heat metering and temperature regulation mandatory?<\/strong>\n\nYes, Legislative Decree 102\/2014 (later integrated by Legislative Decree 141\/2016) mandates heat metering for all condominiums and buildings with centralized heating systems. Condominiums that have not yet complied risk fines ranging from 500 to 2500 euros for both the condominium and the individual resident.\n\n<em>*Exempt from the decree are condominiums and buildings with autonomous heating systems and cases where it is not possible to carry out the adjustment due to significant technical issues.<\/em>\n\n<strong>What are the benefits of heat metering?<\/strong>\n\nThe benefits of heat metering include:\n<ul>\n \t<li>Autonomous management: With autonomous temperature management, consumption is calculated based on individual needs.<\/li>\n \t<li>Savings: Residents only pay for the actual heating consumption.<\/li>\n \t<li>Tax deductions: Heat metering can benefit from tax incentives*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<em>*Renovation bonus (building renovations on common areas): 50% IRPEF deduction. Thanks to remote monitoring, the condominium manager can be promptly alerted in case of fraud attempts, tampering, or malfunctions, allowing immediate action.
